From humble beginnings in 1978, established by Dermot & Nicola Herlihy, Belview Eggs has grown into one of the Republic of Ireland’s leading egg producers.
With a state-of-the-art facility in Louth, and 21 production houses in total, this family run business now manages 140,000 hens across barn and free-range production systems. The operation processes an impressive 2.5 million eggs weekly, supplying major retailers like Lidl along with restaurants and local supermarkets.
As Belview Eggs grew so too did its carbon footprint.
Throughout the years the company implemented many sustainability initiatives.
But as a large-scale Irish agricultural operation, Belview Eggs faced significant and rising energy demands along with increasing operational costs.

Additionally, Belview Eggs were seeking Bord Bia Origin Green certification.

We also provided comprehensive TAMS (Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme – available in the Republic of Ireland) grant support, helping secure financial assistance for the investment.
