As our business continues to grow, we are seeking detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers to join our finance team at our Castleblayney head office.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Ensure proper approval and coding of all invoices in line with company policy.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payments.
- Maintain accurate AP ledgers and assist with month-end close procedures.
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and issue customer invoices promptly and accurately.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Perform credit control and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Allocate customer payments and reconcile AR accounts.
- Manage customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support cashflow forecasting through accurate debtor reporting.
General Finance Support
- Assist with bank reconciliations and journal postings.
- Support the finance team with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to process improvements in finance operations.
Key Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in a similar Accounts Payable / Receivable role.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and good overall IT literacy.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Qualification:
- Accounting Technician qualification (ATI) or equivalent experience preferred.
